The movie craze of the summer has to be Cruella. Kids and adults love this movie so much, that I’ve heard everyone is going back to see it two times or more. If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s a little background about the Disney movie that came out earlier this year.
Cruella is centered around a fictional character named Estella in the 1970s, who is an aspiring fashion designer seeking revenge against the Baroness (Emma Thompson). She ends up morphing into her alter ego Cruella de Vil and the brilliant Emma Stone does a fabulous job as Cruella and gives an award-winning performance. Seriously, I could not have loved her more in this.

Now, on to this delicious frappuccino recipe I’m sharing with you today. It’s not on Starbucks’ main menu; it’s on their secret menu, which basically means they take one frappe and then add different ingredients and call it the Cruella de Vil Frappuccino.
I have gone to three different Starbucks and they all made it differently. My son and I tried ordered the Cruella Frappuccino at all three places during a 2-week period, then it was time to go home and make it my way. This time around, my son Josh helped me create a Cruella frappe. We liked the three from Starbucks, but liked ours even more and got a thumbs up from my daughter and hubby.
The best part about this Starbucks secret menu item frappe are the colors, which are inspired by Cruella herself. With her signature red lips, black and white hair, the Cruella Frappuccino has to be red, white and black! I hope you all enjoy this fun and luscious frappe just like my family does and be sure to see the movie!

Ingredients Needed to Make a Cruella de Vil Frappuccino
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1 cup fresh ice cubes
- black sparkle edible food gel or just black edible gel, found in craft stores, online, or in the grocery store with the baking decorations
- 3 Tbsp granulated sugar
- whipped cream (I used aerosol like Reddi-wip)

How to Make a Cruella de Vil Frappuccino
- In a blender add frozen strawberries and the 1/2 cup cold water. Blend until mostly smooth. Place in fridge for just a few minutes.
- You don’t even need to rinse out the blender. Add in the four scoops vanilla ice cream, the one cup of milk and the cup of fresh ice cubes. Blend until thick and creamy. If needed, add a drop more milk, but you want this thick and pourable. Place that in the fridge for just a few minutes.
- In a small bowl, add the sugar and just a few drops of the edible black food gel. Mix until the two are combined.
- Have two clear plastic cups ready. Pour the strawberry puree into each cup. Gently swirl and turn the cup so the strawberry gets on the sides of each cup.
- Now, scoop or pour the ice cream mixture into each cup. Use half the mixture. Sprinkle some of the sparkle sugar you made and swirl the cup again very gently to have the black color splash on the sides of the cups. You can also squirt a very small amount of the gel on the insides of each cup. Add the rest of the ice cream mixture. Again, move each cup again very gently so you can see the different colors.
- Swirl the whipped cream over the top of the cup and sprinkle the rest of the sugar mixture on top. That’s it! Creamy deliciousness.
