Kate Hudson has made a career of portraying other people on screen, and it seems that the actress’ teenage son may be following in her footsteps. Hudson’s eldest child, 16-year-old Ryder Robinson, whom she shares with ex-husband and Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, took it upon himself to not only make a cameo in his mom’s recent Instagram video, but steal the spotlight with a dead-on impression of her.
In the video, Ryder nails his mom’s voice and demeanor as he imitates her. “Kate Hudson here. I know you know me, because you follow me,” says the teen, as his mom looks on, smiling. “So, today we’re going to be making a goji berry In Bloom protein shake. It’s delicious, I give it to my kids. They love it.”
“Every day. This is my life every day with @mr.ryderrobinson,” Kate captioned the hilarious video.
This isn’t the first time Ryder has poked fun at his famous mom on social media. A week prior, while Kate was sharing a recipe with fans on Instagram, Ryder made his presence known by doing an interpretive dance in the background, announcing, “I painted my nails just for this.” Ryder isn’t the only celebrity kid who’s poked fun at their famous family members—read on to discover how A-listers’ kids offspring hilariously given their parents a few good-natured jabs online. Penelope Richmond and Tina Fey
Tina Fey isn’t the only one in her family who knows how to get a laugh. In a May video interview with Seth Meyers, Fey’s 8-year-old daughter, Penelope Richmond, entered the shot and put her thumb and forefinger over her forehead in the shape of an L. “You’re calling me a loser?” Fey balked in response before kicking Penelope out of the room.

Ireland and Alec Baldwin
Alec Baldwin may never live down the 2007 voicemail he left for his then-11-year-old daughter, Ireland, in which he called the model/actress a “rude, thoughtless little pig.” It’s clear that that Ireland hasn’t forgotten about it either. In a July TikTok, Ireland responded to her critics with a video captioned, “You think you can hurt my feelings? My dad is Alec Baldwin,” while La Roux’s “Bulletproof” played in the background. North West and Kim Kardashian
In April, Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to do a makeup tutorial for her fans, but the demonstration didn’t exactly go as she’d hoped. “I’m hiding in the guest room because my kids will not leave me alone,” Kim told her audience, to which her 6-year-old daughter North, off-screen, replied, “Hey! That’s mean!”
North periodically interjected throughout the rest of the video as well, from asking to wash her hands to debating the relative merits of Pokémon and Sonic yoga to her mom. And for more celebrity news delivered to your inbox, sign up for our daily newsletter.

Johnny and Rob Lowe
Leave it to your kids to point out when you’re being thirsty on social media. In 2019, when Rob Lowe posted a photograph of himself post-workout, his son Johnny was quick to point out the opportune location of the shot. “The subtle art of taking a selfie in front of ur Emmy nominations,” the 24-year-old commented on the sweaty pic.
